Annabelle Davis Centre

NHCC renovated the home of the Young People’s Counselling Service (YPCS), officially named the Annabelle Davis Centre (ADC).

NHCC was delighted to have an opportunity to give something back, by supporting both Persimmon Homes and the Annabelle Davis Centre (ADC) in creating a more comfortable and relaxing environment for the many young people ADC helps. These young people are often experiencing very challenging life circumstances.

The centre is named after Annabelle Davis, an English actress best known for her role as Sasha Bellman in The Dumping Ground. She is the daughter of actor and TV presenter Warwick Davis and is the patron of the charity.

The centre re-opened in September 2019 following NHCC’s completion of the  extensive renovation works on behalf of Persimmon Homes. The father-daughter duo visited the centre in October following the completion of a sensory garden.

The renovations included:

  • Replacing windows and installing bi-fold doors
  • Improving the internal lay out
  • Kitchen replacement
  • New flooring throughout
  • Full, vibrant decorations
  • On site meetings with YPCS to discuss requirements and design ideas.
  • A tight project timeframe due to YPCS not being able to function properly whilst works were taking place.

The project was supported by YPCS Board Members, Persimmon Homes and Northdown Property Services.
